FOUNDER JENNIFER HOMCY
Jennifer Homcy was born in North Palm Beach, Florida and raised by environmentalist parents. With her older brother Dave - Dave Homcy Cinematography, the family camped and traveled across the country from her early childhood, and experienced and explored the many different landscapes, seascapes and cultures of North America. With her first spoken word being "fish" Jen was impassioned by the ocean and nature. Rescuing wildlife became a regular hobby, and her quest for understanding and protecting the natural world became the driving force in her life.
With almost two decades of marine science, conservation, and educational accomplishments, Jen has a strong presence in the International Sea Turtle Biology and Conservation Community and spent six years as the North America Emergency Relief Coordinator for the International Fund for Animal Welfare. In 2001, Jen followed her brother to O’ahu’s North Shore, in Hawaii. Armed with a 100 ton captain’s license, BS degree in Environmental Science and Policy, and a multitude of field and political experience, Jen shifted her energies towards education and community initiatives. After years of involvement with the Kokua Hawaii Foundation and their annual Kokua Festival, she founded TR3EES with partner Scott Saville, in 2007. Teaming her diverse background with her lifelong passions, Jen continues to be a champion for conservation, education, a better environment and a less wasteful society. Contact Jen at .
